Kids Say The Darndest Things!

Lately Lilly has been saying so many funny things we can hardly keep up. The other day she and Aaron were having a little disagreement and as she was walking away I could swear I heard her say "Stinky Butt" HELLO, We have quite the attitude, not that we didn't already know this. Then I was changing her diaper and she kept chanting "stinky poop, stinky poop" I just can't help but laugh at it. She also tried to send Aaron to the naughty spot the other day! I can hardly believe some of the stuff she is saying. Luckily she isn't getting away with most of it, but still the fact that she knows what she is saying, I fear we have our work cut out for us! But she is also really sweet. Lately I have been a little more emotional than usual (due to the holidays and dreaded bed rest) and so if I have cried at all Lilly will just come give me a great big hug and say "it's OK mommy." or "are you OK mommy." How can you not love your kids even more after they show you so much affection and unconditional love?!?

@#%&#@ing Bed Rest!!

My blood pressure has been a little too high the last few days and so I went to the doctor today just to make sure that I am not imagining the worst. Well guess what!?! I have now been ordered on bed rest! I have been on bed rest for all of 6 hours and it is already killing me!!! It isn't like I wouldn't be sitting around anyway, it's just that because the option to be active is now taken away from me I am so totally BORED! I am also bummed out because the doctor has ordered me to stay at home which means NO TRAVELING FOR THANKSGIVING! and I can't cook either (Poor Aaron, we'll see how this weekend goes!) Thankfully my sister April and her family were leaving tonight for White Bird and so she offered to take Lilly with her to my parent's house for the week! That was definitely a blessing in disguise! I am not sure what we would have done otherwise! Thanks April for being so willing to help me when I need it most! So all in all we will see if we end up having baby #2 six weeks early. All my doctor is really trying to do is postpone delivery for at least 2 weeks. We will see, my optimism level is a little low right now, and I have to admit it would be kind of nice to have the baby while Lilly is away! Don't worry I'll follow orders and do what I am supposed to do!

Another Cold

Why is it when I think we are getting over one cold or sickness another one makes its appearance! Of course last night Lilly started coughing (again) and when she woke up this morning had the mother of all runny noses! I know she's not feeling 100% when she asks to sit on my bed during the day. Oh well this to shall pass.

Twilight!

For those who have read the series you know that Twilight the movie came out today! Of course I am friends with a crazy group of people and so we of course had to make sure we were at the midnight premier! Our night started off with appetizers at Applebees and then we headed to the theater. There was probably about 23 people in our group and we had a blast. Most of us even got t-shirts made (hopefully I will get some pictures to follow!) We had a great time! I thought the movie was good, but of course the books are always better!

Almost There

Well, Tuesday will mark six weeks until the official due date! I am taking it slow and hoping that we won't have a repeat performance with this baby (for those who don't know -Lilly was born 6 weeks early) Everything is going great and I am feeling good - well as good as you can when your baby sits up in your ribs all day! I can tell that my body is slowly changing and that can only mean that the end is almost near! I guess it is time for me to get the baby stuff all ready again! I can hardly wait to meet Molly and see her little personality. She is already pretty ornery!

We were told that we are having a girl (from the ultra sound) but I can't tell you how many stories I have heard lately about women thinking they were having a girl and then it was a boy! Aaron even said the other day "what if it is a boy". I just said "well then he will be wearing a whole lot of pink until we can get him something else to wear!" Good thing we have a boy and a girl name ready!

Cinnamon Rolls

Claire, Owen and Grant came to play with us the other day. Aaron thought it would be fun to make cinnamon rolls with the kids. I think that they had a great time and they were all so proud of their work when they were all finished.

Claire "painting" the dough - Owen was so excited just to watch her do it!

Slippers and Tutus

I have been searching for a while but I finally found a pair of slippers for Lilly! She loves them and always wants to wear them. That is fine with me because now she doesn't constantly ask to put her shoes on while we are just relaxing at home!

I have finally finished all the tutus. This one is Lilly's. I added ribbon and jewels. I think that they turned out pretty cute.
If you are curious about how to make them, just go online and google no sew tutus. You will get a wealth of information and handy tips!

Happy Halloween!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween this year! We had a great time! I practiced with Lilly a lot and by the time the big day came she was saying "trick or treat" perfectly! The day started with a trip downtown to go trick or treating at the businesses. We went with April, her 3 kids and my mom (they were in town for Grant's baby blessing) It was pretty crazy downtown but we had a lot of fun! Lilly really got the hang of trick or treating. They had this giant blow up slide there for the kids and Lilly really wanted to go on it, so I thought "OK we will see how this goes" Well she got up there but then she couldn't figure out how to go up the little steps to get to the top, so the guy in charge says that I can go up and help her. So now you must picture a 7 month pregnant lady pushing here daughter up the slide! Lilly was not helping me either. She thought it was funny and kept trying to slide down on the ladder part of the slide. So I am pushing her up step by step and trying not to fall all at the same time. Let me just say that those things are tall and when your pushing a 2 year old up them, it is quite a workout! I was so glad to come down and no longer expose my backside to the whole town of Pocatello!

After Trick or Treating downtown we went to April's house for chili, corn bread, and mummy hot dogs for the kids, then we went trunk-or-treating. That never lasts very long but Lilly loved picking candy out of the bowels and showing off her costume. After Trunk-or-Treating we went to an actual neighborhood. Lilly was so tired because she hadn't had a nap all day, but she still ran her little heart out trying to keep up with Claire and Owen. She really liked going door to door and getting candy. After an hour of that we thought it was time to go home. We put Lilly in the car and she was asleep by the time we pulled out of the driveway! She sure did have a great time, and the best part is that we were home by 8:30. My sister Amber and her friend Camille were staying with us for the weekend and they had the best time passing out candy, making Carmel apples, playing games and watching a scary movie.

Here are all the kids. This is the best we could get at the time!
