Cousins

Today we watched Claire, Owen and Grant at our house. I decided that these two cousins needed to get to know one another - after all they are only 3 months apart. They did so well for about 2 minutes on the floor together. Then Molly, being the girl that she is, got mad because Grant pulled off her bow and kept trying to pull her hair. I guess we will just have to keep trying and maybe someday soon they will be playing together.

Roller Skating

Last night we went roller skating for the first time with our friends the Blauer family. We had such a great time together and the girls loved it. Lilly promptly got up and fell over due to her heavy skates, so she wasn't too keen on skating without the stroller. She did try, but we didn't get very far! Molly was a little grumpy, my guess is because of all the loud music and noises. Aaron and I decided that we need to workout a little more! Everyone did great and no one fell over while skating! I can't wait to go back. They have a Mommy-and-Me skating every week that I think I'll take Lilly to.

One Bad Joke

I just thought that this was really funny. I was giving Molly her bath last night and I was just talking to her like I normally would. I was trying to wash her neck (you know when they have all those adorable rolls they are hard to find!) So I was saying to her "Let's wash your neck, if we can find your neck, or are you neck less (necklace) get it neck less ha ha ha" Well I knew it was a totally lame-oh joke but whatever. She started to cry because it was so incredibly lame! Then afterward, Aaron was getting her dressed and I came in to tell him about how she cried at my lame joke, so I said the joke again and once again Molly started to cry. Well I guess I can always count on her to tell me the truth!

Callie's Wedding

This weekend we got the chance to attend Callie Adams wedding reception. Callie is my old roommate Britni's sister. I was so excited to be able to go and to see Brian and Britni again. It was great to finally meet Tesila and to see how well our girls played together. I can hardly wait until we can get together again. Congratulations Callie and Rayson!

Sick (Again)

Well we all got something this time around. Lilly was sick for an entire week! Her temperature even got as high as 104.1 degrees. I was pretty worried about her for a while. She is finally on the mend and feeling better each day. I have to admit that the nice thing about sick kids is that they sleep more, which in turn means you get more sleep! I hope everyone that has been sick or is sick feels better soon. Don't worry, summer is finally just around the corner.

A New Milestone

I am happy to announce that Molly hit a new milestone last night. She laughed (or giggled - as the case may be) for the first time! I was so excited to here her do that. Now I can hardly wait until I can get her to laugh on a more regular basis!

5 More Minutes

Lilly was so exhausted on Friday night at about 7:30, but she wouldn't give it up. While Aaron and I finished a few things, Lilly cuddled up with her blanket and baby in the chair. When I turned to her and said that it was time to go and read a book she looked and me and said "No mom, 5 more minutes" So I thought, "OK, how does she even know how long 5 minutes is?" So I turned to her like 2 seconds later and said "OK, your 5 minutes is up." So she resigned herself to going to bed! Man, I hope that trick works for a long time into the future!

Snacks

Lilly kept asking all day for some crackers. I apparently didn't give her any quick enough because I turned around and this is what I found. She had opened the cupboard and pulled out a package of graham crackers. She then proceeded to pull every single one out of the wrapper. Aaron first saw her just laying on the ground, leisurely eating them one tiny bite at a time!

A New Room in Our House

Our house now has a new room! It is called the library!?! Yes, it is our bathroom and yes we are now entering the wonderful world of potty training! Wish us luck because we are going to need it. While Lilly was sitting on the potty she decided that she needed a book to read. I just happened to have a book right there and she sat there for a good 5 minutes just flipping through the book! I just thought it was so funny

Family

I snapped these pictures the other night of Aaron, Molly and Lilly. I just thought that they were so sweet.

4 months old

Molly is 4 months old now! I can hardly believe how much she has grown. She weighs in at 14 lbs 6 oz (75%), and 24 1/4 inches tall (50%). Her head is 40.4 cm around (25%). She is now cooing at us and talking more. She smiles all the time and she really seems to love her big sister! Anytime that Lilly talks to her she just smiles and smiles. She's still kind of finicky when it comes to bath time - some days she loves it and others not so much. She is also just so sweet. The first time we showed her a picture of Christ she just got the biggest smile on her face and started cooing and talking. I always love that because it reminds me that our children are pure in heart and they recognize their big brother. It proves to me that they certainly know who he is and it reaffirms that she did just come from his presence not so long ago.

An Easter Miracle

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter time. We made it home on Saturday night with 15 minutes to spare until Easter arrived. The next morning we got up, went to church, and came home to find that the Easter Bunny had indeed stopped by our house! Our Easter Miracle this year was wonderful. At church Lilly walked right into nursery said bye and went on her merry way. No crying, no parent having to come in with her, no nothing. It was a MIRACLE!

Here she is in her Easter dress. The girls actually had matching dresses, but I couldn't get a picture of Molly. By this point I think she was dead asleep and I wasn't about to bug her!

My Easter Spoils

Cool

One morning while giving Lilly her breakfast at my parents house, she asked if she could watch a cartoon. I though, why not you've been really good. As I turned on the T.V. and found a cartoon she turns to me with finger and thumb extended and goes "Cooooooool" I just thought it was so funny, She was saying cool like she was from the movie Grease! I am not quite certain where she picked it up from (I am fairly certain it was from her cousins) but it was hilarious!

White Bird Easter Egg Hunt

While visiting my parent we had the chance to attend the White Bird Easter Egg Hunt. It is always such a fun hunt and it was Lilly first real Easter Egg Hunt. We arrived with the rain pouring and just as the whistle blew signaling that it was time to collect your eggs. My Mom and Lilly rushed to their places and started hunting eggs. Lilly did pretty well all things considered and she had a perpetual smile on her face. She also got a big bag of candy and a stuffed bunny. They also have a raffle and Lilly ended up winning this singing bunny. This year they had the first annual deviled egg contest and so my mom and I had spent all morning making deviled eggs that looked like chicks hatching from their eggs ( I should have gotten a picture, but I didn't) We also spent a lot of time trying to come up with the perfect filling. We ended up with like 10 ingredients in the egg filling! Mom did however end up taking home 3rd place! Way to go Mom!

Easter Eggs

While in White Bird we had to prepare for the White Bird Easter Egg Hunt. This is a big community event and everyone usually pitches in to make sure things are ready for the big hunt. This means that Roy and Cody decide to pick up any of the extra eggs that others don't take and dye them as a family. We ended up dying 42 dozen eggs! It was a lot of fun and Lilly really got into it. The only thing that grossed me out is that Lilly kept licking her fingers off! Vinegar and water does not sound good to me! All of the little kids had dyed hand and other body parts but it was such a great chance for them to show their creativity. We finished all 42 dozen in an hour and a half. Those kids sure know how to get it done!

Zims Hot Springs

Last week I went to visit my parents in White Bird. We had a great time and the girls did awesome with the drive. Lilly had a fantastic time playing with her cousins. I was able to go to 2 card parties with my mom and we also got all new knobs and handles on her kitchen cupboards. We made some more burp rags and also went to Zims Hot Springs to go swimming. The girls loved it. Lilly was thrilled to finally go swimming and Molly started to fall asleep because she was so comfortable in the warm water.

Here is Lilly having a great time

After a while Molly wanted to get out. She had a good time just relaxing on the bench bundled up in towels.

Monster Truck Rally

On April 4th the Monster Truck Rally came to Pocatello Idaho. Aaron got the opportunity to go with his brother-in-law Chad, His nephew Owen and their friend Dave. It was a really long show, but they all had a really great time. Owen really enjoyed it and stayed awake the entire time. They didn't get home until 11:45 pm!

Bowling

Tonight we went bowling with April, Chad, Claire, Owen, Grant and my little sister Amber. We had a great time and the kids did great taking turns. They all played really well with each other. I did a lot better this time than I did previously. I didn't have any bumpers to help me and I still came a way with a 69! Yay for me! Although, I will admit that the kids all still beat me! I did beat Amber by 1 point though.

Aaron getting ready to help Lilly bowl. She is really funny. We just put the ball down and then she pushes it down the lane. Tonight she actually got down on her stomach on the ground to watch and wait for her ball to hit the pins.

Amber's Dress

Today we went shopping for my sister Amber's prom dress. We had a lot of fun trying on the many dresses but in the end we settled on this one. Isn't it beautiful! I absolutely love it. I will say, though, that prices have sure gone up since the days when I was going to prom! That's OK, I think it was totally worth it! What do you think Mom?
