Grayson and Molly

Molly is such a great helper with her brother. She loves to try and feed him, but she loves even more to be the quality control. She is so funny. We can barely get her to eat the food we make, but she will try Grayson's food all day long!

Thankful

Today I just want to write how thankful I am. I am forever thankful for the family that I have been given. They are the purest joy to me. But more than anything in this moment I want to say how thankful I am for my husband. He is a rock in my life and even though we may go through some spectacularly uncertain times together, I know that we are in this together. No matter what.

I am one spoiled women, that much is true. I have a husband who does the laundry. I am a bit ashamed to admit that I have only done laundry a dozen times or so since we've been married. It isn't because I don't know how, on the contrary, he just likes doing it! I am sure that will change one day soon when I am home alone all day, but for now I will just enjoy it. I am also so lucky that he cooks! He is great at it and does it often. It is so nice to not have to worry about how my family will get nourishment when I am not there to make it. He also helps me clean and will do the dishes. And even though I might come after him and re-load rearrange the dishwasher, I don't mind, because he did the hard work first.

But most of all, I am thankful that he shows me every single day how much he loves me. I may not get flowers often, or other silly little tokens of love, but he shows me in the little things how much I matter and that means the world to me. I love that we laugh everyday, no matter what. We smile together everyday, no matter what. And no matter what we are there for each other.

I love you Aaron. And even though times may be tough, we have each others back, no matter what. Thanks for picking me, the semi-emotional and sometimes spastic girl that couldn't come up with a reason not to go on a date with you all those years ago.

Time Out for Women

This last weekend I had the opportunity to go with the girls in my family to Time Out for Women in Spokane. We have done this in years past, but this year was special because it was the first that Amber has gotten to attend with us, and also, we were able to have Grandma Bock with us as well. We had a fantastic time. We shopped until we dropped (almost literally!) and we went to the conference. This years theme was Seek the Good. We heard so many uplifting and hilarious things. We heard from people like John Bytheway, Kris Belcher, Merrilee Boyack, Emily Watts, Hilary Weeks, Chris Williams and others. It was so uplifting and I cannot tell a lie, it was so nice that this was a kids free trip! Thanks Mom and Grandma and Sister for everything. You are all truly the best!

Cereal for the First time

We just tried cereal for the first time with Grayson. As most first time experiences go, it was about what I expected.

 Here we go!

Hmm.... maybe it's not so bad

Just kidding! We are all done.

Easter

Easter is always such a fun and special time. We started our day with the baskets. It was kind of funny because the kids had forgotten all about them. So by the time we said it was time to go and have breakfast before church, that was when they remembered. They thought it was so cool. Lilly did a good job too. She had informed me that she knew the Easter Bunny wasn't real, but that she would pretend so that Molly would have a special day and still believe in the Easter Bunny. Lilly is sure becoming one sweet girl! Anyway, after church we had a yummy dinner and then we headed to a stake Easter program. It was great and I am glad that we chose to go.

Well, this is the best that I could get!

Easter Egg Hunt

This year one of the local radio stations sponsored an Easter Egg Hunt. I thought this would be really fun for the kids, even though I knew there would be a ton of people. There was a ton of people, but it was really well organized. The kids loved picking up the free candy, and they couldn't have been happier. Giving kids free candy and free balloons is bound to make their day!

Easter Eggs

We love to decorate Easter eggs! This year was really fun because my sister was able to be there while we decorated too. The girls had absolutely the best time!

Here we are adding a little extra bling to the eggs.

The kids loved the whisks. It was so easy and way better than dealing with a spoon and a huge mess. We just put the egg inside an old whisk and stuck it in the dye. Then when your egg is done, just slip the egg right out of it. It was perfect for the kids!

Our beautiful eggs!

Spring Break

Almost every spring break we head to Santa Barbara for a week of fun in the sun. This spring break didn't disappoint. There was the constant threat of rain, and it was fairly overcast on some days, but we didn't let that dampen our spirits! It was the longest car ride ever though! On the way to Santa Barbara, our normally 14 hour drive took us 18 because of high winds and traffic galore. On the way home it took us 19 hours dues to rain, then snow and chaining up and traffic. We were so happy to be out of the car by the end of our trip.

Our lovely time together in the car. The kids were soooooo good. We are soooooo lucky! Don't worry, this is when we were stopped for 45 min. on the top of Donner Pass. Grayson does not like to sit still in the car!

We went to Hendry's beach one day. We didn't intend to get super wet but we thought we would just walk on the beach and get our toes wet. At one point we hear a scream from Lilly and when we looked back she was on her hands and knees in the sand with the waves washing over her! She quickly got over it and they had a fantastic time running in and out of the waves.

Nothing like a good cupcake! I was so excited to visit because I had watched them on the Cupcake Wars. The cupcakes didn't disappoint.

A Walk on the breakwater is always a must.

We always go to the zoo. The kids always love it and this was Grayson's first trip to the Santa Barbara Zoo!

Molly was so brave and let Granddaddy check her teeth for the first time. She did awesome!
