We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Because we were going out of town we didn't do any of the traditional dying eggs or hiding eggs (Lilly is still too small anyway) so we just decided to do Easter baskets and call it good. Lilly loved her basket and love the candy even more (surprise, surprise!) We had to work really hard to keep her from biting into any of the wrappers. In fact I turned around for about 10 seconds and she had totally unwrapped her chocolate bunny! She sure knows hot to work it! Lilly and daddy on Easter morning
Looking at what she got
See the smile, she loves Little People! This one even had a hen in it, she loves animals
Her Easter dress, (although for the life of me we couldn't get her to give us a real smile, only the cheesy stuff!)

Thanks Grandma
Today Lilly got a surprise package from Grandma Farmer. She thought it was so great to open her Easter gift. She thought (and I did too!) that she would love the peeps, so I put her in her chair and let her have one. She wasn't really too sure about them, and in the end she didn't finish even one, but that's OK, she loved the M&Ms! Thanks Grandma for the wonderful treat!

Update
Well, I have decided to write just a short entry to say that there probably won't be any updates for about 2 weeks from this point (not that this is a huge shocker to anyone!) But, I do have a really great reason. On Monday (3/24) Aaron and I are leaving to go on vacation with my parents and my sister Amber. We will be gone for 9 days. I know that I will get some really great pictures from our trip and I can hardly wait to share them. I will also have to post pictures of our Easter. So I just want to say that I hope everyone has a great Easter and check back soon for some awesome vacation pictures!

Cousins!
We have been having a really great time with Claire and Owen lately. Lilly has really started to play great with them. April's family came over for dinner the other night and it was such a nice day that we let all the kids go outside to play for a while. We had a great time. Afterward we gave all of the kids a push up (ice cream in a tube) it was the first time that any of them had ever had one. They all seemed to really love it!
Here is Lilly, She can never get enough sugar!
Owen just had a blast eating his ice cream

8th Grade Science Test
Ok everyone! Let's see how you all do at 8th Grade Science. I think I did pretty good, I'm just not going to tell you how many times I actually took the test! Good Luck.

Temper Tantrums!
Well, Aaron and I are in the midst of dealing with temper tantrums around our house. Lilly really knows how to throw a good one. I wasn't able to get any video of her because every time the camera comes out, she suddenly becomes a little angel! I was however able to get a shot of the bruises that she gives herself. So here is the proof that she really does hit her head on the ground. It is kind of hard to see but look really close and right in the middle of her forehead you can see the nice sized goose egg that she gave herself. I hope this stage will pass soon!

The Things Our Children Teach Us
Tonight I was in Wal-mart with Lilly. She loves to go out and about. We were standing in the check-out line and I had moved to the front of the cart to put our purchases on the counter. When I turned around Lilly was talking so animatedly to a man that was waiting behind us. I usually try very hard not to judge people by first appearances or anything, but this man was someone that could affectionately be known as having a "thug type look" and he was talking back to Lilly (even though you can't understand what she is saying). Then he told me that he had a 3 month old at home that is just starting to really talk a lot. It was in that moment that I realized that he is typically the kind of person that I wouldn't interact with, but here is my daughter who doesn't have a biased bone in her body, and I realized how often we really do judge by first appearances and how a child just doesn't care. They want to interact with everyone and learn all that they can. I am writing this because it really did teach me a lesson tonight, and it just goes to show once again that we should all try and be as little children are.
