Lilly had a cupcake wars birthday party. We waited until school started so Lilly could invite more of her school friends. We had quite the turn out! I didn't expect as many to come, but most of them did! We had a great time! I made chef hats and had aprons for everyone. Then they got to pick their seat and start decorating two cupcakes (one to take home and one to eat later). They also decorated their cupcake boxes. The kids loved all the different frosting colors and the aray of sprinkles!
After they were done with that we had "Pin the Cherry on the Cupcake!" I was proud of this game. I made it on the computer and then just printed a poster size print from Costco. After that we had most kids favorite... the Pinata! Once the kids got their fill of candy, games and sweets it was time for presents. It was so fun to see how excited each person was to give Lilly a present. Especially cute when some of the boys were a little shy about it!
Once we were finished with gifts we sat down and the kids got to eat one of their cupcakes and see what "award" they won for their cupcake. Everyone got one and I had ribbons that said stuff like "most colorful, most sprinkles... etc." One of the best things that I did to be a little more prepared on the day of was the ice cream. I just put one scoop into a cupcake pan and froze the scoops. Then when it was time to use them, I just quickly grabbed one cupcake liner and that was that! Easy! We had so much fun at Lilly's birthday party and it is always fun to have so many friends to celebrate with!
