It doesn't snow practically all winter. But of course, one day in May it decides to do this.....
I think it's actually pretty, what with all the green grass and all!

We were able to go to the cabin with our friends the Feils over the weekend. And as you can see, Aaron had the misfortune of falling asleep first! We had a great time and can't wait to do it again. Of course we got no pictures, oh wait... we did, of Aaron!

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful Mom's out there. I have had a great 2 days - I know 2 days! On Saturday we were going over to our friends house for dinner, but during the day Aaron took the girls with him everywhere he went. He also gave me a lot of free time to myself. It was very nice! Today I have been spoiled. Aaron got up extra early to make me a delicious breakfast and no children tried to climb into bed with me. That right there is super nice. When I did get up to get ready for a morning meeting, here is what I found on the kitchen table.... Aren't they gorgeous!?! There was also a game, a gift certificate for a pedicure and a wonderful card. I was ecstatic! Lilly was so cute the entire day. She just keeps running up to me and saying Happy Mother's Day Mom. She also gave me a very cute little gift that she had made in preschool. I then had to head off to a meeting, but Aaron got the girls ready for church so all I had to do was hair. After church, Aaron made a delicious meal and has treated me like a queen. Thanks honey I love you and I promise to return the favor on Father's Day!

I know, the name sounds weird. We dubbed it this because we decided to be extra comfortable, yet eat delicious sushi. Anyway, Our friends the Feils invited us to come make sushi with them. Neither one of us had ever done it, but we thought it would be fun to try. We arrived at their house at 5:30 and gave all the kids their dinner. Then while they were playing we made our dinner. It takes a lot of prep work to make sushi! We assembled all our ingredients and began to work. First we had egg drop soup and then we made our own spring rolls, which worked out ok. Then it was on to the Sushi. We had decided before hand that we wanted to make a California roll (which is cooked crab and avocado - yum!) and also a salmon sushi (which was raw) It was so much fun to get creative and try to figure it out. It really is an art form. Thanks Feil family for playing games with us and making sushi with us, we had a blast!
This is a piece of sushi that I made. It was the best looking of the night - I apparently need more tries at getting it right!

The other night we had corn on the cob with dinner. Aaron and I debated as to weather or not we should cut the corn off the cob or just give her the entire thing. In the end we decided to just give her the whole thing. She loved it! She ate the entire cob! We were pleasantly surprised. She thought that this was the greatest food on Earth. Never mind that we have given it to her before, just without the cob attached. Apparently corn on the cob is the way to go.
