Hop 2 It

Yesterday we went to Twin Falls to visit with our friends Dan, Candace and Bella. We decided to take our kids to this place called Hop 2 It. It is basically a big room that has 5 different kinds of jump houses in it. The girls loved it! The great thing is that parents are free with a paying child. So all 4 adults and 2 kids played for a couple hours on $10 dollars total. In my mind you can't beat it! We had a great time playing with the kids and also jumping and racing through the obstacle course ourselves. I couldn't get the girls together long enough for a picture because they just wanted to run and play.

Lilly and Aaron on the big slide. Lilly wouldn't go by herself at first but after the first time and a little boost in courage she went all by herself!

1 Month Old

I can hardly believe that it has already been 1 month since Molly was born. Time sure does fly by!

Compliment

This blog acts as our family journal and so I wanted to write down this experience before we forgot all about it. Tonight we went to Costco to pick up a few things that we needed for Molly's blessing in a week and a half. We spent more time than we thought (not uncommon) and ended up staying and eating at Costco. It was the usual drill for us. Pick up food, Lilly eats a little, drinks a lot, gets down and walks back and forth between the table and the vending machine while Aaron and I try to finish our food. We keep an eye on her, talk to her and just generally make sure that she behaves herself and doesn't get in the way of anyone. Molly was asleep in her car seat the entire time, so this was a pretty easy meal to get through. After Aaron and I had cleaned Lilly up, cleaned up the table, and cleaned up our general area we started to leave and a woman stopped us. She really wanted to talk to Lilly and pay us a very nice compliment. She said that she people watches a lot and when she sees something good she always likes to pay the compliment that they so deserve. She then asked how old Lilly was and was surprised to learn that she is only 2 and a half (almost). She thought that she was much older. She then went on to say that as she was observing us she could tell that we are a team as parents and that we work hard at teaching our child what is right and wrong and how it shows by the way that Lilly respects us, listens to us, and acts in public. She also said that she thought Lilly was very bright for her age and that it is very refreshing to see parents that are a team together with their children.

Wow! what better way to make you feel good as a parent when a total stranger stops you and says you are doing a good job, when you don't feel like you are at all (especially today for me!) Today was not my strong "be a good mother day!" It was such a nice reward to hear that from someone and to know that Aaron and I are showing our united front as parents no matter where we are.

Glasses

Today I was wearing my glasses and Lilly decided that she needed glasses too. So she grabbed her Mr. Potato Head glasses and put them on. Never mind that they are way, way, way too small for her face! She just looked at me and said "I need glasses to Mom." So why not. I am not sure if she can see anything out of them, but she was sure trying hard to watch TV with them on!

The straight ahead shot. I think she has to choose which eye she wants to see with!

Makeup

Here is what happens when you leave your makeup case open, your two year old on the bed, and you leave the room for just a minute...

The funny thing is that I think Aaron was sitting on the bed the entire time that she was doing this (You can see his arm). She was pretty funny about it and was so pleased with herself. I think it's funny that most of it is on her chin!

My Newest Project

So I had to show the results of my newest project. I have been looking for wooden letters since before Molly was born, and finally I found some! So I picked out some paper and made this all on my own! I am so happy with how it turned out and I only spent half an hour in the scrapbook store deciding on paper. (Candace you would be so proud!)

Grandma Came to Visit

My mom came to help out with Molly and we had the best time. Of course the week somehow got away from us, and I didn't take that many pictures, but it was nice to get burp rags made, my house picked up, Christmas put away, and the many other things that we did. It really helped having another set of hands to help as we adjusted to a new little person in our house! Thanks mom for everything! We can never tell you how much we appreciate you and how much we enjoyed having you stay in our home.

It has sort of become a tradition that my mom gives the first real bath. As you can see Molly really wasn't too sure at first!

But then she started to really enjoy herself!

Little Miss Molly is 2 Weeks Old!

I just wanted to post some pictures of Molly. She has really begun to change a lot in just the 2 short weeks since she has been born. It is so fun to watch her grow and we are all really starting to adjust well to the knew schedule and routine at our house.

Molly and Lilly. She is such a good big sister. She is always checking on her and giving her plenty of kisses. Anytime Molly cries Lilly just tells her to "chill out Molly" and tries to take care of her as best she can.

She is just so thoughtful

I love this picture. It just looks like if she could smile she would
