Can You Tell the Difference?

Who's Who? Leave a comment and let me know if you can tell which one is Lilly and which one is Molly. I've been telling people that they look alike, maybe now they'll believe me.

Sleepy Head

Lilly has been fighting me so hard on taking naps lately so I have just decided that we will have quiet time. This is what I found only minutes into quiet time! I guess she really is tired after all!

Cody's Baby Shower

My sister April and I went to my mom's house mostly so we could throw my sister-in-law Cody a surprise baby shower. She is having baby #6 and it so happens to be boy #5! So we figured it was time for a few new things! Cody had no idea about the shower - and we worked super hard at hiding it from her! At one point she came to the house and we had to throw things in random cupboards and wherever we could hide it in just seconds! I made these super cute onesie cookies and we arranged a few of them into a cookie arrangement. We wrote a few names on some of the cookies so that Cody could see a few name ideas.

Here are the cookies

One of the games the girls had to make something out of these old shirts. Here is Amber's team creation. They did awesome!

She's All Girl

While at my Mom's house Lilly found her cousin's pink cowgirl hat. Lilly thought it was awesome and wanted to wear it everywhere. She was especially disappointed when I wouldn't let her sleep with it. Oh, the joys of being young, you can almost get away with wearing a pink cowgirl hat! - Almost

Water Fun

While traveling to my Mom's house, we stopped with one of April's friends in Meridian at this really fun park. It was awesome, they had amazing play equipment, really cool musical instruments and fun water for the kids to run in. I loved this especially because you don't have to worry about anyone drowning in this type of setting. I only wish we could have something like this close to us!

Getting ready to run through the water spout

She likes to drink the water

She was getting so brave!

I better view of the water portion of the park ( a piece of it anyway)

Grant was really fond of the water too. Molly would never do what he does.

Pioneer Day Celebration

Today was the Pocatello Pioneer Day Celebration. We started our day by attending the wonderful parade. We always love to see it and the best part is watching Lilly. She just gets so excited. Unfortunately Aaron had to work so just the girls and I went and had a lot of fun together. Molly was really excited by everything and squealed louder than normal. Even though it was warm, we had a great time!

I just really liked this float

This was our ward float. We actually got 3rd place!

Musical Ambiance

Today Aaron took Molly into the front room with him and started playing the piano. She played for a while on the ground and then apparently fell asleep while he played. I came in wondering what she was doing and I didn't realize that she was asleep until I got a closer look. Apparently the ambiance of the room made her super relaxed. As soon as Aaron was done playing the piano, she woke right up and was ready to play some more.

Yogurt

Today Lilly asked for some yogurt for snack time. We said sure, not a problem. So she has the yogurt and Molly is playing in the chair. I turned around and found Lilly feeding Molly her first taste of yogurt. Molly loved it and was so sad when we finally made Lilly stop feeding her. It was just so funny to watch Lilly feed her the same way that we feed her the cereal she gets everyday. She is just such a big helper and such a great big sister.

Friends, Hot Dogs and Bears

Today we had a really fun day being out and about. Our friends Brooke, Matt and Adah came to visit and spend the evening with us last night. Molly is only a month and half older than Adah, but look how much bigger she is than her. I must admit that Adah was born 5 1/2 weeks premature and was only 4' 13", but still, Molly is a tank! After they left we headed out to the local zoo for the "Beary Happy Birthday Party" We got there a little late, so we missed quite a few of the fun activities, but it was fun to go and see the animals just the same. Lilly kept asking to go and see the monkeys and the crocodiles. When I told her that there wasn't any of those animals she switched tracks and asked to ride on the train. She was again disappointed to find out that this zoo didn't have any of those things. I thought it was kind of funny to hear what she associates with a zoo. Maybe for her birthday we'll take her to the Hogle Zoo in Utah. I think she would enjoy that again. After spending quite sometime at the zoo, we headed down to old town. We noticed earlier that a gas station was having a re-opening and they had free hamburgers and hot dogs. So we stopped and got our free lunch and sat on the curb to eat. While we sat there some people from the gas station came over and gave Lilly the Sinclair Dinosaur that they had. She was so excited and immediately took a liking to her new friend. We decided to appropriately name him "Sinclair" and we think it will be fun to have him outside for Lilly to play with.

Adah and Molly, she is so much bigger!
Another shot, just to see the size difference

Here is Lilly "Feeding the bears" She was actually a really good shot and got in 3 of the 5 bean bags.

Here she is trying again

The porcupine. This guy was really fun to watch, I had no idea that they were such good climbers!

The black bear. He was just pacing back and forth, probably waiting for his dinner

Molly's Stats

Today Molly went to the doctor for her 6 month check up and shots. She did great with the shots and everything looks good with her. Here are her stats.... She weighs in at 18 lbs and 8 oz, putting her in the 90th percentile! Her height is 26" which puts her just above the 50th percentile. So I have a really short and chubby baby! That's OK, I love her to death and she is growing up more and more everyday.

Our New Building

This past Sunday our new Ward building was dedicated. It was so awesome to be at the dedication and to hear the history of the land and the pure and simple promptings of the spirit that allowed the building to be placed just as it is now. We can hardly wait to go to church on Sunday and to be able to enjoy such a beautiful and special place. I have to admit I am most excited about the mini bathroom in the nursery. The little toilet and sink are just so cute!

Random Funny

Yesterday Lilly was sitting on the potty trying her hardest to "go". She is just pushing and pushing then turns to me and goes, "oh Mom this is making me so hungry. I think I need a fruit snack." She says it so matter-of-factly I just had to laugh. She was a little disappointed that I wouldn't give in to her fruit snack request. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

A Long Hard Day

After Bella left to go home around 5:00 pm, Lilly decided that she'd had enough. I looked away for just a minute and she had slumped over on the couch. I guess it was a long hard day in the life of a 2 1/2 year old!?!

Bathing Suits Are Futile!

Today Bella came to play. The girls had a really great time. We have a little wading pool in our yard left by our friends after our 4th was a little rained out. The girls loved it. We told them not to get their clothes wet, but that lasted all of 5 minutes before they were soaked to the bone. We finally just let them strip off their clothes and run around. They had the best time. They played in the water, ran through the sprinklers, and giggled like only two little girls can. We had to fill up the swimming pool 5 times before we finally made them quite. Thanks for coming to play Bella!

4th of July and Other Tidbits

These last few days we have been really busy. For our Anniversary, we were lucky enough to have our friends Dan and Candace Lowe and Nelson and Nikki Nash come and visit us. We left the kids with a babysitter and went out on the town. We went and saw the movie The Proposal. I haven't laughed that much during a movie in a long time. We thought it was great. Then we headed to Texas Roadhouse and had a great dinner and even better conversation. We all hung out at our house until 3 a.m. when we finally decided that we couldn't stay up any longer. On Friday, Dan and Candace headed out to see family and We went swimming. (without Aaron - he had to work!) We had a great time, and of course I didn't get any pictures! After doing that for a good majority of the day we relaxed at home and played games all night. On Saturday, we got up bright and early and headed to the park for a ward breakfast. Right after the breakfast we went downtown for the annual 4th of July Parade. We had so much fun getting candy and clapping for everyone. That afternoon we just relaxed at home and waited for Aaron to get home from work. Then our friends The Blauer's came and we had a yummy BBQ. Of course it decided to down pour, but we were lucky enough to get everything inside just in time. So we played games, talked and laughed (a lot) until the rain finally let up and we were able to go outside and enjoy the fireworks that we had all purchased. Nelson's sister, Chelsea was able to join us for the fireworks and we were so happy to see her again. We had 3 families worth of fireworks! It was a really long show, but a fun one and we discovered that we could just see the city fireworks show from our driveway, so we were lucky enough to see some of that too!

Here's the group watching Hannah with the Sparkler, Lilly was a little nervous to hold one this year!

Yeah! She finally held one!

The boys (Jeff, Aaron, and Nelson) They really didn't want a picture, but we made them anyway!
