The Wedding Luncheon

After the wedding we went to PF Changs (YUM! YUM!) It was the best lunch ever. As part of the family tradition the uncles all get up and sing a song to the new couple. It is called the Uncles Song and it is all about how the new groom (in this case) now has to go and get a job and live in the real world! It is really funny! We all had such a great time, and the food couldn't have been better.

A Thanksgiving Wedding

Aaron, Lilly, and I went to San Diego the week before Thanksgiving for a wedding. Nelson (Aaron's Nephew) and Nikki got married on Friday, November 16th in the San Diego Temple. It was fun to be there and the temple is beautiful! It was a long trip but it was worth it!

Lilly and the Onion

Aaron and I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter how many toys Lilly has because she will always find something better to play with. And usually it is something really simple that I would never guess she would play with!

The other day I had the pantry closet open and Lilly crawled in their and found the bin with the onions in it. Well she picked out an onion and proceeded to throw it around the kitchen. She would make it roll everywhere and then she would go chase after it and repeat the cycle. She did this for a couple of hours at least! She would sometime stop and study the onion and then when she was satisfied she would throw it again. I think in the end I had to throw away the onion because it was pretty bruised and banged up. Isn't it funny the things our kids would rather play with?!?

Date night at Home

Aaron and I wanted to have a date night but we couldn't go out. So I decided to make a special dinner for just Aaron and I. We fed Lilly and put her to bed. This blog is really for Aaron because he said I had to take a picture. He said the food looked like it was from a restaurant and that it tasted like it was from a restaurant to. What a great compliment! I made Cornish game hens with Asparagus and Parmesan mashed potatoes. The pre-course was a dinner salad with a Parmesan crisp on top! Yum Yum! It was a great Date night at home!

The 24 Month Old Outfit

When Lilly was born my sister-in-law Camene sent us this cute little outfit for Lilly. It said on the tag that it was a 24 month outfit so I put it away. I have since looked at the outfit many times and wished that Lilly could fit into it. Well surprise, surprise today I realized (because things have been so crazy around here), that I didn't have any clothes for Lilly to wear. I pulled out this outfit just thinking, "well, it will just have to be baggy and she will just have to deal with it!" I put it on her and it surprisingly fits! I am sure glad that I found that out before it was too late. This just teaches me once again that I have to try clothes on her and not necessarily go by what the tag says! As you moms out there know, every outfit is totally different, and this is just another lesson in that!

Thanks Aunt Camene for this cute outfit. I sure love it!
