4th of July and Other Tidbits

These last few days we have been really busy. For our Anniversary, we were lucky enough to have our friends Dan and Candace Lowe and Nelson and Nikki Nash come and visit us. We left the kids with a babysitter and went out on the town. We went and saw the movie The Proposal. I haven't laughed that much during a movie in a long time. We thought it was great. Then we headed to Texas Roadhouse and had a great dinner and even better conversation. We all hung out at our house until 3 a.m. when we finally decided that we couldn't stay up any longer. On Friday, Dan and Candace headed out to see family and We went swimming. (without Aaron - he had to work!) We had a great time, and of course I didn't get any pictures! After doing that for a good majority of the day we relaxed at home and played games all night. On Saturday, we got up bright and early and headed to the park for a ward breakfast. Right after the breakfast we went downtown for the annual 4th of July Parade. We had so much fun getting candy and clapping for everyone. That afternoon we just relaxed at home and waited for Aaron to get home from work. Then our friends The Blauer's came and we had a yummy BBQ. Of course it decided to down pour, but we were lucky enough to get everything inside just in time. So we played games, talked and laughed (a lot) until the rain finally let up and we were able to go outside and enjoy the fireworks that we had all purchased. Nelson's sister, Chelsea was able to join us for the fireworks and we were so happy to see her again. We had 3 families worth of fireworks! It was a really long show, but a fun one and we discovered that we could just see the city fireworks show from our driveway, so we were lucky enough to see some of that too!

Here's the group watching Hannah with the Sparkler, Lilly was a little nervous to hold one this year!

Oooh, Aaaah

The girls were loving the little snaps that you throw on the ground. They could hardly get enough! Here is Hannah in mid throw.
