Summer Fun

Summer is finally here an the kids are loving it! We were able to set up the pool and the slip-n-slide and they had a hay day. Molly just sat there and squealed. She loved that the water shot out from the slip-n-slide. So happy that summer has finally arrived.

Surgery...Again

Just a quick update on Aaron. He is doing really well. The surgery ended up being a little more aggressive than we originally thought it was going to be. He is recovering well with little pain... Although that might have something to do with the vicodin! Thanks for thinking of us.

She's Finally Walking!!!

Yeah for Molly! She is finally walking. She started on June 18th but she would only go for a little bit and then fall down. She thought it was a funny game. We tried to have her walk with shoes on, but to no avail. Well finally the other day while we were out shopping she walked independently around the entire store. She even did it with the shoes that we were trying on. She has this funny little gait right now, but it's getting better every day! We are so happy about it. She is 18 months old now and weighs in at a good 23 lbs. It will be nice not to have to carry her everywhere! Good job Molly! We are so proud.

Cabin

We just got back from visiting with Aaron's parents at the cabin. We had a really great time. We took both of the girls on a four-wheel ride and they loved it! Molly just sat back in the backpack and went along for the ride. Lilly is getting so big that she even got to go on a ride with just Aaron and Granddaddy. That's a big step up as far as I'm concerned! Our ride went great, until I got the four-wheeler stuck in some mud and almost took it off the side of the mountain! Oops! But luckily after an hour of trying to get it out, some other riders came along and helped us out. It took 7 grown men to get it out. I guess you can say that when I do something, I do it all the way! Our trip was very relaxing. We got to see Toy Story 3 (which was really good) and just enjoy ourselves. It's always nice to see family.

Updates!

We have been MIA for a while now. We have been traveling like crazy. We just recently went 2800 miles and went through Montana, Idaho, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. We didn't stop at all those places, just a few! We started in Pocatello and went to my parents house in White Bird. Amber graduated from high school! Then we left my parents and went to Santa Barbara to spend some time with Aaron's family. It was nice to be out of the car for a few days. We then headed down to Redlands for Sara's wedding. After the wedding we got back in the car and headed on home. It was a long week and a half and we were happy to be home and out of the car. Now we are back and updating everything, so read on!

Lilly's Tent

I got this tent a little while ago at Ikea. It has been sitting in my closet waiting to be played with. I finally got it out and Lilly has hardly left it since. She has even been asking to eat in it. Then one day she decided to make it like a cave. She put a blanket over the top so that it would be dark inside and then she got her pillow and some blankets. Of course she didn't go to sleep but she is pretty good at pretending.

Sara and Ian Get Hitched!

The reason we went to California was because Aaron's niece Sara was getting married. It was a beautiful wedding. It was also a very hot day! So hot it started to melt their wedding cake! The girls were flushed all day long. They did really well and were very behaved throughout the day. We started out by attending the temple to watch them be sealed then we headed out to a lunch and reception. Sara had the coolest thing at the reception and Lilly loved loved loved it. She had a candy bar. You could fill up little containers with any kind of candy there. It was super cute. Congratulations Sara and Ian we wish you nothing but the best!

The Park

One day we spent some time playing at the park. Lilly and Molly love being outside. They had a great time.

The Beach

While in Santa Barbara we went to Hendry's Beach one day. It was beautiful and the kids had the best time. I am pretty sure that this was the first time for both of them.We built a sand castle, played in the water and laughed while we watched Molly dump sand all over her head. She probably loved it the most. We also did a lot of people watching. Aaron ran into an old friend from high school and we watched a couple putting there medium sized dog into a jogging stroller! That was funny! We usually just shake our heads and say.... "Only in Santa Barbara!"
