Make up, Love You's, and Walking

While I am putting on my makeup, Lilly is usually right there inspecting the goods. I usually don't have any problems with her opening anything and trying it out, but apparently she has learned a thing or two. All of a sudden she can open almost everything! Well on Sunday morning as I was getting ready for church, I wasn't watching her so when I turned around I was a little surprised to see that she had found my eye liner. She was so proud that she could put that on. Look, the lines are pretty straight too!
The other night Lilly woke up at around 3:00 am. I decided to just get her up and calm her down in our bed (don't worry she has never spent one night in our bed!) Anyway, She came into our room and promptly said "Mom, I watch TV show?" I was like "What!" she has never said that before! So now I am thinking "Is she watching too much TV?" Anyway, I said no there was no TV on this late, then I told her to go to sleep. She said, "OK, Mommy love you, night night." Boy, what a way to get to a person. She has never said anything like that I was just so taken aback. I can't believe how grown up she is all of a sudden, and now she is starting to say sentences! Yikes! I do have to also say that she is finally walking! Yeah!! I am so excited. For about 3 weeks now she has been pretty mobile. Her personality has changed a lot and we are all a lot happier now! I just love to see how her personality has grown is such a short time.

Our Fun Filled Saturday

I have decided that when Saturday comes around, even though we have a busy week, we can't spend all day cleaning the house and doing miscellaneous things. I have decided that we have to go out and do something fun with the family. So, we decided to visit a local animal supply store that also has a petting zoo in the back. It was so much fun to watch Lilly. They had some puppies there and she was on the ground just going crazy and waving at all these little dogs. The we went on to see tortoises, bunnies, chicks, baby ducks, birds, ostriches, horses, emu, goats, and many more! She had a great time seeing the animals. After the petting zoo we went to Craigo's! That's right, Pocatello got a Craigo's (can you believe it) it definitely is a totally reminder of Rexburg. This Craigo's is new and pretty fun to visit. While there Aaron made the perfect ice cream cone! Three cheers for Aaron!

Shh! She's Sleeping

Lately Lilly has started this thing where she gets on our bed, lays on the pillows and says "night night" then she promptly pretends to fall asleep. It is just so funny to watch. I can sure say that I wish she would go to sleep so quickly!

Anything Chocolate!

I know it has been far too long since an update. So get ready for some serious blogging!

Lately, Lilly has had a serious sweet tooth! If it has any chocolate in it she is all over it. My dad brought her some Hershey Kisses so now she asks me for a "kiss from papa." Then one night Aaron made a pie that had chocolate in it! as you can tell, she loved it.

Then just the other morning I decided to make chocolate chip pancakes (thanks Britni!) and I have never seen Lilly eat pancakes more than she did that morning! Oh well, she is definitely all girl!

Announcement!

The time has finally come for us to announce that we are expecting baby number 2! I am due somewhere between December and January. I say somewhere because my uterus is measuring bigger than the baby, so we will have to wait and see what happens. Things are great and I feel fantastic! I almost couldn't feel better! I am a high risk pregnancy this time due to being pre-eclamptic with Lilly, so my doctor is watching me like a hawk! All we are hoping for is a healthy baby, but Lilly keeps saying that she is going to have a sister! (we'll see how much she really likes her "sister" when the baby actually comes home!)

What do you think of our names? We are thinking that if it is a boy it will be Landon Karl Haws, and if it is a girl Molly Lynn Haws. Let me know what you think!

Bus Road-eo

As most of you know, Aaron has been driving a school bus while he works on his masters degree. Well apparently they think he is a good enough driver because they asked him to drive in one of the yearly competitions that are held. It is called the Bus Road-eo and each school district has drivers that compete. I thought this was just some funny thing that they do (you know - only in Idaho!) to pass the time and have a few laughs. I was surprised to see how seriously this is really taken and even more surprised to hear that the top two in each category go on to state and then on to nationals! Well, I guess it's not just an Idaho thing! Aaron's parents were also in town, so they joined us for the fun. Lilly really liked the buses, she really just wanted to climb onto one a take a ride, so she got upset when I wouldn't let her!

Here is Aaron preparing to drive (don't you just love the shirt!?!)
Here he is getting ready to start the course and checking all of his mirrors
In this one he had to go through barrels and try not to touch them!

In this one he is backing up and has to get as close as he can to the cones but not hit them!
I was surprised to see how difficult some of the things they had to do where. They had to do things like drive in a straight line while keeping one tire in the middle of a bunch of tennis balls, they had a fake railroad crossing, parallel parking, and he even had to drive through a course that go smaller and smaller and couldn't touch any of the posts. It was pretty difficult, but it was fun to see Aaron and to see his co-workers cheering him on. Aaron wasn't in the top 2 but he did a great job anyway for his first and hopefully only time!
Aaron has now competed in a checkers competition (he worked at Albertson's and apparently they also have a nationwide checking and baggers competition! - who knew!) and now a bus driving competition. I am curious to see what will come next!

Getting in Touch After all this Time

The other day I got a comment on our blog from an old roommate. It really got me thinking about all the good times that we had in Apt. 276 in the Ricks Hall Dorm. This is our freshman year and this is when I met Britni Hansen (Used to be Adams), Michelle Rognon (used to be Williams) and Carrie Hanna (used to be Peyton). We had a lot of laughs, a lot of fights, and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, Michelle was only with us for one semester and trust me when I say we missed her a ton in the winter semester! Thanks for finding me Carrie, I tried to find you once too but I didn't have any luck. Good thing we have Britni to keep us all in line after almost 7 years. It's awesome that we are all married and starting our families. I have everyone's contact info. except for yours Carrie, so the next time you leave a comment, leave me some way to contact you!
